As a keen windsurfer with a new WAP enabled mobile phone I found the sites available at the time didn't fully cover the weather information I wanted. The result is this site.

Whatknots was developed during 2003 to allow my fellow Windsurfers, Kitesurfers and other wind related sports access to Wind Observations and Weather Forecast information regardless of there location. Using a WAP enabled mobile and the data downloaded and formatted by our server, you can now access a comprehensive array of wind observations and forecasts designed especially for watersports enthusiasts.

Our service is currently running from my home using an ADSL connection to the internet. For the most part this has been reliable. However things can and do go wrong, if you suspect the data provided on this site is not correct, please verify it using the Bureau Of Meterology's website at www.bom.gov.au
